Refund Policy

Lab Class Tools · Last updated: 25 August 2026

Refunds are governed by Paddle’s Refund Policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/refund-policy. If this page and Paddle’s policy ever differ, Paddle’s policy applies. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights in your country.

1. The rule

Unless required by applicable law, purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Paddle may still issue a refund:

• where a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right applies (section 3), or • at Paddle’s discretion, if you ask within 14 days of the transaction (section 4).

Asking within 14 days does not guarantee a refund.

Refunds are not issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.

This does not affect your rights if the product is not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose (section 5).

If a refund is issued, the associated licence key and download access end.

2. How to request a refund

Contact Paddle (not us) using one of these:

• the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle confirmation email • the support link on your receipt or billing page • paddle.net, then choose “Request refund”

If eligible, Paddle refunds to the original payment method where possible, within 14 days of approving the request.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible, contact Paddle through the same channels. You can also write to us at licenses@labclasstools.com and we will point you to the right place.

3. Statutory withdrawal (consumers)

Where local consumer law gives you an unconditional right to withdraw, that right applies.

For consumers in the EU, EEA, Switzerland, and the UK, that is typically a 14-day right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts and receive a full refund. It applies to a one-off purchase and to the first payment under a subscription. It does not apply to later subscription renewals, except that UK consumers on an annual subscription get a fresh 14-day window from the day the subscription auto-renews for another year. If a subscription includes a free trial, a further 14-day window starts when the trial ends.

That withdrawal right does not apply to digital content that has started to be downloaded, streamed, or otherwise used, when you gave express consent at checkout for the product to be made available before the withdrawal period ended.

Other countries have their own windows (for example 7 days in Canada, South Korea, Brazil, and China; 5 days in Singapore). See Paddle’s Refund Policy for the current country-specific rules.

To use a statutory right, request the refund within the relevant window from the transaction date, using the methods in section 2.

4. Discretionary refunds

Paddle may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if you ask within 14 days of the transaction. Every request is reviewed case by case. Paddle may consider the nature of the product, the reason for the request, usage, and the applicable terms. Paddle may refund in full, refund in part, or decline.

A discretionary refund is voluntary. It does not create an obligation to refund similar requests in future.

5. Technical problems and defects

If Lab Class Tools has a persistent technical issue or a material defect that stops you using what was described:

  1. Email licenses@labclasstools.com first (include OS, DaVinci Resolve version, and which plugin). We will try to resolve it.

  2. If it cannot be resolved, contact Paddle as in section 2 and include details of the issue and our response.

  3. Where there is evidence of a material technical or product defect, Paddle will refund in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

6. Cancellation is not a refund

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time so you are not billed again. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. It does not refund the period already paid, unless a refund is approved under this policy or required by law.

Cancel through the link in your Paddle receipt or confirmation email, or via Paddle’s buyer portal.

7. Chargebacks

Contact Paddle before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. That is usually faster.

If you raise a chargeback, licence access may be suspended while it is reviewed. This does not affect your lawful rights to dispute a charge.

8. Sales tax

Businesses charged VAT, GST, or similar tax may be entitled to a tax-only refund if registered for that tax in the country of purchase and permitted by local law. Contact Paddle within 60 days of the transaction with a valid tax number or exemption certificate. See Paddle’s Buyer Terms for the detail.

9. Changes

Paddle may update its Refund Policy from time to time. The version in force at the time of your transaction governs that transaction. We may update this page to stay aligned with it. The “Last updated” date will change.
