This Privacy Policy explains how Lab Class (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal information in connection with Lab Class Tools, our websites (including https://www.labclasstools.com), and related services (the “Service”).

1. Who is responsible

For product delivery, licensing, support, and our website content, Lab Class is the controller of personal data we process for those purposes.

For payment checkout, invoicing, and tax, purchases are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payment data under its own privacy notice. See: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy

2. Contact

• Email: licenses@labclasstools.com • Also: warren@labclass.co.uk

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you or Paddle provide in connection with a purchase

• Name and email address (for licence delivery and support) • Billing country and other details Paddle shares with us that we need to fulfil the order • Subscription status and related order identifiers (e.g. customer/subscription IDs from Paddle)

We do not receive or store your full card number. Card payments are handled by Paddle and its payment partners.

3.2 Licence and product use

• Licence keys we issue • Technical data needed to operate licensing (for example, whether a key is active, and if we implement device limits in future: device identifiers you authorise) • Support messages you send us

3.3 Website and communications

• Information you submit via forms (e.g. contact, beta feedback) • Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed) if our host or analytics tools collect them • Email delivery events (e.g. that a licence email was sent) via our email provider

3.4 Cookies

Our site or hosts (e.g. Framer) may use cookies or similar technologies for security, preferences, or analytics. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

4. How we use information

We use personal data to:

• Provide and fulfil the Service (licence keys, downloads, subscription access)

• Communicate about your purchase, renewals, and product updates

• Provide customer support

• Improve the product and website

• Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorised sharing of licences

• Comply with law and enforce our Terms

Legal bases (where GDPR/UK GDPR apply) include: performance of a contract; legitimate interests (security, improvement, support); consent where required (e.g. certain marketing); and legal obligation.

5. Sharing

We share data only as needed with:

Recipients:

• Paddle — Checkout, billing, tax, invoices, subscription management • Hosting / infrastructure (e.g. website host, cloud database, file storage) — Run the website and deliver installers securely • Email provider (e.g. Resend / email systems) — Send licence keys and transactional messages • Professional advisers or authorities — Where required by law or to protect rights

We do not sell your personal information.

6. International transfers

Our providers may process data in the UK, EEA, US, or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) used by those providers.

7. Retention

We keep purchase and licence records for as long as needed to provide the Service, handle renewals/cancellations, and meet accounting or legal requirements. Support emails are kept as long as useful for ongoing support or legal claims, then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data (including access controls and secure transfer for downloads). No method of transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability or to withdraw consent.

To exercise rights, email licenses@labclasstools.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK: the ICO — https://ico.org.uk).

For payment data held by Paddle, you may also need to contact Paddle or use tools they provide.

10. Children

The Service is directed at professionals and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16 (or higher age where required). Contact us if you believe we have done so.

11. Marketing

We may send product-related transactional email (licence, billing, security). We will not send promotional marketing without a lawful basis (including consent where required). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails where offered.

12. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version on this page. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonable by updating the date above.

13. Third-party links

Our site may link to third parties (including Paddle checkout). Their privacy practices are their own.
